For the record, all of our richly textured floor coverings are made from
simply renewable resources. Even our paper floor coverings are made exclusively
from conifers, the most important (and quickest growing) of the timber renewable
resources. And it is natural latex that provides the backing for our products.
Colleagues in Western Europe audit the acceptability of dyes. Their governments
have far stricter controls than those in force here. Eventually, all of our
products will breakdown speedily and naturally.
This is a far cry from the problems presented by conventional carpet (even
pure wool and imitation sisal) with their synthetic matrices and glues
along with formaldehydes and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
